Medical Massage is advanced massage and manual therapy prescribed by your physician for a specific injury and/or pain. Medical Massage may be billed to insurance by the therapist or paid by the client at time of service and then reimbursed. Movement and playfulness entwine themselves through every part of my life. As a child, I danced alongside my parents and, to this day, I often find myself moving to whatever background music is playing. You will never find me sitting for too long before jumping onto the next adventure. Yet, I am thoughtful, analytical, and I love a good puzzle. I am a student of the human body and am in daily awe of how it adapts to almost anything we put it through. I believe we should never give up on our dreams but keep a balanced mind while reaching for them. All of these traits integrate uniquely into each massage session.

Everyday I work with my clients to decrease their daily (often chronic) pain, increase their body awareness, and generally assist them in maintaining good mental and physical health. My technical studies of massage therapy began in Seattle at Cortiva Institute’s 1,000 hour massage therapy program – one of the most in-depth massage therapy programs in the country. Sine then, I have taken several continuing education courses, and recently certified as a Medical Massage Practitioner. Future work I am excited to learn include lymphatic drainage, advanced nervous system techniques, and delving further into the mind-body connection.

As I grow my practice, I hold high the importance of a healthy work-life balance for both my clients and myself. I spend as much time as possible with my caring partner, close friends, and my two furry loves (Puma the cat and Cara the dog). Those who know me know my boisterous laugh well. Travel is a necessity in my life as is sunshine, ocean gazing, and standing barefoot in the grass.
